Bringing Home a Kitten
Bringing home your new kitten is an exciting event so you need to make sure you are prepared.
Kitten Supplies Needed:
1. Pet carrier for transportation
2. Litter box or tray (prefer special Kitty un-scented clumping litter)
3. Ceramic bowl for food and water (use Royal Canin Kitten food dry or wet- pink bag)
4. Toys (Stick toys with strings or feathers are enjoyed most) make sure they are no loose strings that can cause choking.
5. Small safe room for introduction purposes preferably a bathroom or spare room. Let the kitten explore on its own terms.
6. Small cat tree
General tips.
Kittens are like little children and tend to get themselves in trouble so make sure you kitten-proof your house.
Here are some things to look out for
1. Electrical cords and poisonous plants should be out of reach.
2. Washer and Dryer doors should be kept shut and the toilet seat should be kept down.
3. Kittens on stairs should be supervised, a tumble down the stairs could cost you a trip to the vet. Be careful.
